This chair is now the Maharadja chair: http://chairsandco.blogspot.com/2011/09/maharadja.html
This chair was found in the Schilder District in 2009. The chair was lightly sanded and vernished. The leather was creamed as well. This chair is now waiting for inspiration. It'll maybe end full of colors or it'll be touched by God...Or it'll remain as it is (even if I don't really like it).
How to rehabilitate, decorate, rejuvenate, restore and rescue old or deserted chairs? How to give a second life or a new design to abandoned goods/possessions? Each chair is a unique model made of with chairs and goods found in the streets of The Hague in The Netherlands. Each chair is smartened up in +/- 4 weeks.

Projects on stand-by - The Directoire chair
This chair was given by a neighbor in the Laak district without any cover, seat and back. Only the skeleton was present. The cover, a beautiful lizard from the Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, needs to be finished. The frame needs to be painted again. The two armrests need to be done as well.
The gold color will remain. The chair is very big and confortable.
Projects on stand-by - The Orange chair
This chair was found in the Regent district in 2007. The seat and the back were completly damaged. This chair is not yet finished. Design needs to be rethinked and structure reinforced. The orange cover will remain as it is but the frame needs to be change and painted again. Maybe with the colors of the Dutch flag (blue, white and red).
